4 Bay Shower Unit Hire for Festivals and Construction Sites

Four private shower cubicles, hot running water and individual external entrances. Our 4 Bay Shower Unit allows four people to shower simultaneously, making it a practical option for festivals, temporary campsites, sporting events and construction projects where permanent washing facilities are unavailable.

Measuring 6.7m long, 2.4m wide and 3m high, the unit provides separate shower and changing spaces, with non-slip flooring, seating, mirrors and clothing hooks. It uses propane gas for water heating and can be supported by additional water, power and waste storage equipment where required.

Four Individual Shower Bays with Private Changing Space

Unlike an open communal shower arrangement, this unit provides four separate bays, each with its own external entrance. Users can shower and change privately without sharing the same cubicle with other attendees or workers.

Each shower bay includes:

  • Individual external door: Independent access to each shower compartment.
  • Hot shower: Water heated using the unit's propane gas system.
  • Non-slip flooring: Designed to improve grip in wet conditions.
  • Shower curtain or divider: Separation between the washing and changing areas.
  • Seating: Somewhere to sit while changing.
  • Clothing hooks: Convenient storage for clothes and towels.
  • Mirror: A practical addition to the changing space.

This arrangement makes the unit particularly useful where people need to shower after physical activity, outdoor work or an overnight stay.

No Mains Water or Drainage? Shower Hire with Temporary Utilities

One of the main considerations when hiring portable showers is whether the site has the infrastructure needed to operate them.

Our 4 Bay Shower Unit requires electricity, fresh water, propane gas and an appropriate method of handling grey water. However, the absence of permanent connections does not necessarily rule out shower hire.

Fresh Water Storage

Where a suitable mains water connection is unavailable, we can discuss providing an IBC water tank and pump to supply the shower unit. The required storage capacity will depend on expected usage and refill arrangements.

Generator Power

The unit requires a 240V electrical supply. Where mains electricity is unavailable, a suitable generator can be arranged as part of the temporary facilities package.

Grey Water Storage

If the site does not have an authorised discharge point, grey water pillow tanks with capacities up to 20,000 litres can be supplied. Waste storage and disposal arrangements should be agreed before installation.

Propane Water Heating

The shower unit is supplied with two propane gas bottles for heating water. Additional gas requirements should be considered for longer events or periods of heavy use.

We can also discuss the pipework and installation needed to connect the shower unit to the agreed services.

4 Bay Shower Hire for Multi-Day Festivals and Temporary Campsites

At events lasting several days, access to hot showers can make a considerable difference to the experience of attendees, staff and volunteers.

Our 4 Bay Shower Unit is suitable for situations such as:

  • Music festivals: Shower facilities for campers, performers, event staff and crew.
  • Sporting events: Washing facilities for competitors after races, tournaments and outdoor activities.
  • Temporary campsites: Additional shower capacity where permanent facilities are limited.
  • Rural events: Shower provision at countryside venues without established washing facilities.
  • Film and television productions: Temporary facilities for crews working at outdoor or remote locations.

Because four people can shower at once, the unit offers a useful starting point for smaller camping areas or dedicated staff facilities. For larger events, several units or additional shower capacity may be required.

Portable Showers for Construction Workers and Site Welfare

Some construction and industrial projects involve particularly dirty work, making access to showers an important part of workforce welfare planning.

Our 4 Bay Shower Unit can be considered for projects involving groundworks, demolition, infrastructure development and other activities where workers need to wash before leaving the site.

It can be hired alongside construction portable toilets and other temporary facilities to help create a more complete site welfare arrangement.

Site managers should assess the nature of the work and any relevant welfare requirements before deciding on the number and type of shower facilities needed.

How Many People Can Use a 4 Bay Shower Unit?

The unit accommodates four users at the same time, but the total number of people it can serve over a day depends on shower duration, water supply, hot water recovery and how frequently the facilities are used.

For example, an event where everyone wants to shower early in the morning may experience much greater demand than a worksite where employees finish at different times.

When planning shower capacity, consider:

  • The number of people expected to use the showers.
  • Whether demand will be concentrated at particular times.
  • How long each person is likely to spend showering and changing.
  • The available fresh water supply and refill arrangements.
  • The volume of grey water that must be stored or discharged.
  • Whether an attendant or cleaning schedule is needed.

For higher attendance or more intensive use, ask about our 5 & 6 Bay Shower Units and the possibility of hiring multiple shower units.

Installing a 6.7m Shower Unit at Your Venue

With a footprint of 6.7m by 2.4m and a height of 3m, the 4 Bay Shower Unit needs suitable delivery access and a stable location for installation.

The proposed position should also allow space for people to enter and leave each bay, along with any necessary water tanks, generators, gas storage and grey water equipment.

Before delivery, please consider:

  • Whether the access route can accommodate the delivery vehicle and shower unit.
  • Whether the proposed ground is firm and reasonably level.
  • Where electrical equipment and water storage will be positioned.
  • How fresh water will be replenished during the hire.
  • Where grey water will be collected or discharged lawfully.
  • Whether additional lighting or access arrangements are needed for evening use.

For larger events, a uniformed shower attendant can also be arranged to help oversee the facilities. Out-of-hours emergency support is available for appropriate hire arrangements.
